Alfredo Muente
is entering his 12th season covering Cougar football, his seventh as play-by-play announcer. Alfredo began his sports casting career fourteen years ago as the Voice of the Countryside Jr. Cougars, where he was public address announcer until 2003. In 1997, Alfredo took over as Countryside High School's TV Production's Sports Director and held the position for four years. During his tenure at UPC-TV, Alfredo earned "Florida H.S. Broadcaster of the Year" award. Alfredo has also been the Voice of the Cougar baseball and softball teams. Alfredo has been correspondent for Seattle's 1400 KITZ sports radio and former statistician with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. For one season, Alfredo broadcast high school football and basketball on Nauticom Sports Radio. Alfredo is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Davie, and is attending Hillsborough Community College. Alfredo currently resides in Valrico.
